Nicholas Neboshnsky of Improvement Zone one of "40 under 40" recognized by Professional Remodeler magazine.

Arnold resident Nicholas Neboshnsky, president of his family-owned Improvement Zone, Inc., was recently named one of Professional Remodeler magazine’s “40 under 40” of the brightest stars in the home remodeling business nationwide.

“I’m incredibly honored,” said Neboshnsky. “I view it as an affirmation of Improvement Zone’s unique approach to home maintenance.”

Neboshynsky said that his experience in various home remodeling projects throughout the years has provided him with an important understanding of just how important regular home repair and maintenance can be.

He created the company’s “Home Pulse Preventive Maintenance Program” which schedules 3-12 appointments a year to minimize or avoid costly repairs.

Neboshynsky believes he was chosen for the first-ever “40 Under 40” feature representing “the future of the residential construction industry” because of this program.

A son of a Navy pilot, Nicholas grew up all over the U.S. His first job was with a general contracting company at 14. He continued to study and improve on his skills throughout high school and summers in college. He attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY, majoring in Business Management.

His Marine Corps Reserve unit was activated his last year of school. The activation lasted 11 months with another activation to Iraq for six months. Even in Iraq, Neboshynsky said he was improving his platoon’s living quarters by hooking up lights and plumbing, giving them warm showers and toilets that they had been without for 47 days.

After moving to the Annapolis area, he created Improvement Zone in 2008. For more information on the business, go to http://www.improvement-zone.com
