The Broadneck High School marching band took home top honors in a statewide tournament on Saturday. It is heading to the nationals this week to compete among the best of the best.
The Bruins won Division 5 of the USBands Maryland State Championships on Saturday at Towson University, beating out three other schools.
Broadneck won awards for best music, best visuals, best guard and best percussion awards in the division. A video of the band's performance was uploaded to YouTube over the weekend.
The band will next head to the national competition at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on Saturday.
