Cantler's Closed in January for Painting, Cleaning
The famous seafood destination is temporarily closed for a cleaning and repainting.
One of Broadneck's best seafood venues is closed for the month of January for a cleaning and painting, a store employee said.
A sign outside Cantler's Riverside Inn lets potential customers know that they'll have to wait until February to get some of their famous seafood.
I attempted to take my in-laws to Cantler's on Wednesday. They had heard me praise their clam chowder, which I consider to be the best I've ever had. But we were all dismayed to see the closed sign.
After asking around on Facebook where we should eat instead, Broadneck residents pointed to The Point Crabhouse and Grill, Broadneck's newest seafood restaurant. We were treated well, and the shrimp was divine.
Where will you be eating when you crave Cantler's this month?

Not sure I would say closed for "cleaning"' kind of makes me wonder what kind of food was being served in a dirty place that had to close for a month. Maybe closed for renovations would be more comforting to customers.

Naptown, I was just reporting what I was told about why it was closed for a month. Thanks for commenting.
