Centrowitz Father and Son Duo to Give Presentation in Alexandria

Matthew Centrowitz Sr. and Jr. will give a presentation at Pacers in Alexandria.

Broadneck has two generations of Olympic athletes in the Centrowitz family, and the youngest just returned home after competing in the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Fresh from the Olympics, Matthew Centrowitz, Jr. will join with his father, Matthew Centrowitz, Sr., for a presentation Wednesday at Pacers Running Store in Alexandria, VA.

A store employee said the presentation would begin at 7 p.m. Afterward, the duo will answer questions from the public about their careers.

Centrowitz, Jr. placed fourth in the 1,500 meter run in August, narrowly missing a bronze medal. His father is a two-time Olympic runner. He is a 2009 graduate of Broadneck High School, and lives nearby in Arnold.

After the Olympics, Centrowitz ran in competitions in Europe, setting a personal best during a Swiss race.
