Column: Do You Really Live in Annapolis?
Are residents from 21409 "Annapolitans"?
A column published in The Capital on Thursday dissects an issue that regularly comes up among Broadneck residents—where does Annapolis truly end?
Guest columnist Nick Berry begins his column with the statement, "Some people say they are from Annapolis but they really aren’t."
But there are of course folks who hail from 21409—an area of Broadneck separated by Annapolis by water, but not by name—who may take issue with the statement.
Berry looked into the zoning maps of Annapolis and spoke with city and county leaders and examined the history books to determine how far back the split occurred.

Last I checked, my address ends with Annapolis, MD 21409. So yes, Broadneck residents are Annapolitians.
