Easement Granted for Roadwork Behind Arnold Elementary
The board's vote gives Koch Homes a temporary easement onto county-owned property to make road and drainage improvements.
A developer was granted a right-of-way acquisition for land behind Arnold Elementary School to repave a walkway and do other construction work.
The proposal from Koch Homes was approved by the Board of Education on Wednesday at their regular meeting. Koch's plans are to make minor road and drainage improvements as part of an ongoing development on East Joyce Lane.
The board's vote gives Koch a temporary easement onto county-owned property to make these improvements.
"Koch will design and construct a service road behind the school as well as repave the walkway along Joyce Lane," according to a board document. "All activities will be coordinated with AACPS Facilities staff in terms of design, material selection, and installation quality."
There is no timeline mentioned as part of the project. But work can begin anytime after the easement has been granted.
