Entertainer Reflects on Broadneck Dances This Year
Tommy Gatz, a Broadneck graduate, wrote about his experiences this year as a disc jockey at BHS' two big dances.
Tommy Gatz, a 2009 graduate of Broadneck High School, was the official DJ for the school's biggest dance events of the year.
In a column on his website, Gatz reflected back on the year, which began for him in October as the DJ at the school's homecoming, and ended with the senior prom at M&T Bank Stadium.
Gatz said this year was particularly unique for him because he knew this year's seniors back when they were just starting as high schoolers.
"I remember many of these 2012 graduates as freshmen when I was a senior," Gatz wrote on his website.
Gatz' company, Tommy Gatz Entertainment, uploaded a highlight reel of BHS' homecoming and prom to YouTube, showing students dancing in a setting that would fit any Hollywood event.
Gatz said he was grateful that BHS has agreed to hire him on as their DJ for next year's homecoming and prom events as well.
