After a week like Broadneck has had, many of us are looking for an affordable tasty summer wine to enjoy when relaxing outside on the deck in this beautiful pre-fall weather. 

Try Vihno Verde! It’s light, refreshing, has relatively low alcohol content, and a tiny bit of fizziness. This is a budget-friendly Portuguese wine with bright citrus flavors, and a clean finish. 

Despite its name, Vihno Verde isn’t green in color. It is a white wine with just a slight hint of lemon color. The name comes from this wine’s youthfulness. It is bottled and best consumed in the year it is harvested. It has good acidity, like a Sauvignon Blanc, but is not as dry, and the effervescence makes it a fun sipping wine. 

This crisp summer wine is best served ice cold and great to pair with steamed crabs, shrimp or any seafood dish. It is also a great picnic wine, and is a definite crowd pleaser.
