Get Out: Weekend of Nov. 25 to 27

Enjoy the annual holiday show at the Children's Theatre of Annapolis, go see Lights on the Bay or head out of Broadneck to events in nearby areas.

 

Had enough turkey and shopping? Here are some other things to do this weekend.

The Gingerbread Pirates

When/Where: 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturday at Children’s Theatre of Annapolis

Why Go: The annual holiday show runs for one day only this year and will feature a visit from Santa after each show.

Cost: $8 for adults, $5 for children (ages 2 to 12) and children younger than age 2 are free

Lights on the Bay

When/Where: 5 to 10 p.m. nightly through Jan. 1, 2012, at Sandy Point State Park

Families go back year after year to see their favorite light displays and admire new additions.

Cost: $14 per vehicle

Grand Illumination

Where/When: Performances begin at 5:30 p.m. with the official tree lighting at 7 p.m., Sunday at City Dock in Annapolis

Why Go: There will be a performance by members of the Chesapeake Ballet Company, a tree lighting, remarks from Annapolis Mayor Josh Cohen and refreshments.

Cost: Free

Bowling and Pancakes With Santa

When/Where: 10 a.m. to noon Sunday at Greenway Bowl, Odenton

Why Go: Come to Greenway Bowl for pancakes and bowling with Santa. It includes: two hours of bowling for up to six people, shoes, music, door prizes, holiday trivia and a visit and gift from Santa for each child. Breakfast includes bacon or sausage, pancakes and syrup, milk, juice, coffee, tea, donuts or pastries.

Cost: $12 per person or $59.95 per lane

Archbishop Spalding High School Alumni Lacrosse Game

When/Where: noon Saturday at Archbishop Spalding High School, Severn

Why Go: Archbishop Spalding High School men's lacrosse alumni will grab their lacrosse sticks once again for the Alumni Lacrosse Game.  Players can check in at 11:30 a.m., and the game will start at noon on the school's new stadium field.

Cost: $20 to participate, free to watch

Ashley Forrest at Kaufmann's

When/Where: 8 p.m. Saturday at Kaufmann's Tavern, 329 Gambrills Rd., Gambrills

Why Go: Nashville recording artist singer/songwriter Ashley Forrest will perform music from her upcoming album.

Cost: Free
