Grab and Go Planner for Younger and Older Kids

From potty training to career exploration, we offer activities for all ages.

 

For the little ones...

1)  Music Together Demo Class

When/Where:  Sat., March 5, 10:30-11:30 a.m., Severna Park Community Center

Why Go:  Families can spend time together making music in this free demonstration class of the Music Together program. Classes are for children ages 0-5 years and their caregiver. To RSVP for the event, email office@mtchesapeake.com.

Price:  Free

2)  Potty Dance Day House Party

When/Where:  Sat., March 5, 2-4 p.m., Kent Island Discovery Zone, 216-F Log Canoe Cir., Stevensville, MD 21619

Why Go: Families are invited to kick off their potty training process by learning “The Potty Dance” so toddlers can dance their way to exciting potty training success. R.S.V.P. with name and number of guests to: pottyparty21666@aol.com.

Price:  $5 for members; $12 for nonmembers

3)  Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss

When/Where:  Weds.–Sat., March 2-5, Severna Park Library.

Why Go:  Families are invited all week to stop by and celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday with a Seuss-inspired craft and contest.

Price:  Free

For older kids...

4)  Career Expo

When/Where:  Sat., March 5, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Michael’s Eighth Ave., Glen Burnie

Why Go:  Middle and high school students are offered the chance to learn about internship opportunities and future career options from local businesses and government agencies. Sponsored by the 21st Century Educational Foundation.

Price:  Free

5)  Stargazing at AACC 

When/Where:  Sat., March 5, 8:30 p.m., in the Astronomy Lab in the rear of lots A and B beside the Resource Management Building on the Anne Arundel Community College campus.

Why Go:  Families are invited to bring their own telescope and binoculars or use one of the eight AACC telescopes to view planets, stars and the moon, weather permitting. Sponsored by the Astronomy Club.

Price:  Free
