Ladd, Area Councils to Discuss Broadneck's Future

The meeting is set for Feb. 2 in Cape St. Claire.

 

Broadneck's two area councils are teaming up for a meeting extraordinaire, featuring 5th District County Councilman Dick Ladd, to chart upcoming plans for 2012.

The Broadneck Council of Communities and the Arnold Preservation Council will host a joint meeting at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 2 at the Cape St. Claire Clubhouse, located at 1223 River Bay Road.

Guest speakers will include Ladd and BCC member Bill Nevel to discuss items that will affect the future of the peninsula, including zoning changes and transportation plans.

The Broadneck Council of Communities, Inc. (BCC) and the Arnold Preservation Council (APC) invite all residents of the Broadneck Peninsula to attend a meeting with Dick Ladd, our District 5 County Councilman, on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012 at 7:30, in the Cape St. Claire Clubhouse—1223 River Bay Road.

The agenda will include an overview of our 2011 challenges and accomplishments with a summary of the new plans for 2012. The 2011 Comprehensive Rezoning Bill (66-11) will be covered by Councilman Ladd who will present his District #5 priorities for the New Year which include improvements to the county zoning process, budget constraints, storm water management, overcrowded schools and pollution controls. A question and answer period will follow. Bill Nevel (BCC-BOD) will present an update on the County Master Functional Transportation Plan as well as the State’s ‘Plan Maryland’. Other speakers will address key 2012 issues.

Please bring your questions and concerns to the meeting for discussion. We will incorporate your suggestions into our plans for 2012. Refreshments will be served.
