Line up the kids, a new dance studio is coming to town.

Owner Michelle Davy is putting the finishing touches on the Davy Dance Academy, which will open in the same space as the former Annapolis Dance Academy in the Cape St. Claire Shopping Center.

An open house for the academy is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 11 and 18, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 1358 Cape St. Claire Rd. in Annapolis.

The open house will feature a free 30-minute class, and a drawing for discounts on classes and registration for fall classes. Classes are being offered to dancers ages 3 and up, with styles ranging from ballet to jazz, tap, modern and hip-hop.

"Our goal and our passion is quality dance education," according to the academy's website. "We are a family run business specializing in meeting the needs of all students using care, encouragement and a commitment to excellence."

Zumba and ball room classes are scheduled to begin in the fall.
