New Dance Studio's Open House a Success
A second open house is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
The owner of a new dance studio, Davy Dance Academy, said the first day officially open for business drew several interested residents.
The academy formally opened its doors on Saturday in the Cape St. Claire shopping center at the former location of Annapolis Dance Studio. Owner Michelle T. Davy said Saturday was a great success for her new business.
"We had a lot of traffic—people came in and tried out our classes, and we now have fall registration under way," Davy said. "It was nice to see the community coming out, and I think people really enjoyed themselves."
Davy has been a full-time instructor at The Harbour School for a decade, and she has been teaching for more than two decades. She told The Capital that opening a studio will give her a chance to teach during after-school hours.
A second open house is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
