Farrah Hall, a windsurfer from Cape St. Claire, has had a week of ups and downs.

On Wednesday, after her fourth race, Hall placed 18th in Women's RS-X windsurfing. She moved up three from yesterday's ranking.
After the games, she told the U.S. Olympic Sailing Team that conditions were spotty, and she considered her placement disappointing.
“I had a really disappointing day today,” she said. “I usually have good starts, and today I didn’t. I like racing in these conditions because it’s fun, but I’m better in light air. I can put together a race a little better in light air.”
Hall's Olympic race is nearly halfway complete now that she has competed in four of the 10 races. Two more races are planned for Thursday. There is no race Friday, but they will resume sailing on Monday and the medal race is scheduled for Tuesday.
