A tour of the new exhibit at Anne Arundel Community College, gives a window into the minds of artists who are using their talents to heal old wounds.

The exhibit, titled “Through the Rabbit Hole, Visionary Healing Art,” is open until June 28 at the college's Pascal Center for Performing Arts Gallery.

Sponsored by Arundel Lodge Inc., the exhibit showcases watercolor and acrylic paintings, weavings, mixed media pieces and visual journals created by Anne Arundel County residents participating in the organization’s art program, according to a release.

Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday. For more information on the exhibit, contact Katerina Evansthe director of the art program and the Arundel Lodge Inc. Open Eye Gallery, at 443-433-5914 or kevans@arundellodge.org.

The art program was created to form a safe, supportive community of artists, where people can explore, express, and recover through classroom, studio and gallery programs in the visual arts, according to a release.  

Arundel Lodge helps those with serious mental illness respectfully inspire and support each other in their recovery journey.
