Dozens turned out for a golf tournament on Saturday at Bay Hills Golf Club that raised money for Broadneck Park's playground.

More than $2,300 was raised among the 36 players in the tournament, many of who won prizes throughout the 18-hole course.

Award winners included:

First-place foursome: Russ Harada, Sue Harada, Joe Dubinski, Kristen Dubinski
Second place: Greg Fisk, Rick Drish, Gabe Kushner
Third place: John Peck, Connor McManus, Mike Urlich, Daniel Anderson

Unfortunately, no one struck it big in either of the hole-in-one prizes, which included a Lexus from Sheehy Lexus of Annapolis, and $10,000 in cash from Tom Massie of First Command Financial. Though Kristen Dubinski landed her ball within a few feet of a hole-in-one for the Lexus.

The fundraiser was organized by the Friends of Broadneck park, a community group spearheaded by Kara McGuirk-Allison, who have been amassing funds for playground improvements at Broadneck Park.

So far the group has raised more than $40,000, with a big boost from Anne Arundel County's 2013 budget, which set aside $35,000 for playground work at the park.
