Are you ready for the start of the fall sports season in Broadneck?
Dozens of teens gathered at Broadneck High School early on Saturday morning for the start of the fall sports season.
Tryouts for all fall sports will continue throughout the week. On Saturday, students were running drills with coaches and doing laps around the track in preparation for team selections.
Athletics Director Ken Kazmarek told Patch about 500 athletes were expected at BHS for tryouts. The sports include golf, football, cheerleading, volleyball, boys and girls soccer, cross country, field hockey, and unified tennis.
"They're all cranking up and ready to start," Kazmarek said.
Meet the coaches night is scheduled for 7-9 p.m. Aug. 23.
