The Maryland JUCO has just released their October Student Athlete of the Month Awards and Anne Arundel Community College’s Meghenn Jackson has earned the accolade for women’s soccer.
Jackson has been an offensive leader for the Pioneers the entire season. Last week the Pioneers captured the Region 20 and District H titles and Jackson led the way with four goals and one assist for the tournament.
In the semifinal match against Oxford College of Emory University, Jackson scored three goals for her fourth hat trick of the season. Against Potomac State College in the championship match, she put AACC on the board first with the opening goal en route to a 3-1 victory.
Jackson sits atop the MD JUCO leaderboard with 47 total points and 20 goals. With seven assists she lands at second on the leaderboard.
Jackson and the Pioneers are playing for the NJCAA Division III Championship this week in New York.
