A popular hangout for Broadneck High School students was the location of a fight on Friday that hospitalized an 18-year-old.
The investigation into the incident is still ongoing. Anne Arundel County police say they are looking into who was the "aggressor" in the fight—the 18-year-old, or the 15-year-old who injured him.
Students have come to call that place "The Pit." It's just behind the school's faculty parking lot, and though it roams, it's usually adjacent to property of Southview Drive and Chestnut Tree Drive residents.
Readers have commented about their own experiences with The Pit, sayingthis fight was nothing new. But should authorities allow it to continue existing after an 18-year-old was hospitalized?
Or will it thrive even with additional policing?
