Sandy Pushes Back End of Semester at AACC

The new date for the end of the fall semester is Dec. 19, three days later than previously scheduled.

Even though Hurricane Sandy was just a tropical storm when it entered Anne Arundel County, it stayed long enough to impact the academic calendar for the fall term at Anne Arundel Community College.

The three-day unscheduled closure of the college has forced administrators to push back the end of the fall term and the timetable for final exams, according to a press release issued by the college on Friday.

The new date for the end of the fall semester is Dec. 19. Classes for 13-week and 15-week courses will end on Dec. 12. The second eight-week session, which began Oct. 22, will end on Dec. 19, with the final exam on the last day of class.
