Students Donate Nearly 900 Boxes of Cereal
Two BHS juniors donated breakfast cereal to The Lighthouse shelter.
Two Broadneck High School (BHS) students collected hundreds of boxes of cereal for The Lighthouse shelter in Annapolis over the past few weeks, and recently donated all of them.
By the end of their efforts, BHS juniors Sarah Marcum and Kelsey Barthold collected 889 cereal boxes, the BHS Tribruin reported. The girls collected the boxes as a service learning project for their AP language and composition class.
When transporting the cereal to the shelter, the amount of boxes donated filled up two large vans and a station wagon, according to the BHS Tribruin.
