Discover Sushi Hot Spots in the Broadneck Region

Dive in to an ocean of Japanese seafood options in your neighborhood.

Sure, here in Maryland, we’ve got seafood. Our crabs are famous and our oysters and bluefish are renowned. But nobody does seafood quite like the Japanese. While crab shacks may outnumber sushi houses in local neighborhoods, we still have a variety of eateries serving up sushi.

With so many menu options at sushi restaurants, it be overwhelming to find a favorite. But at most of these establishments you can ask for a chef's sampler with a variety of choices to learn where your pallete leans. Over the years I've gravitated toward eel and smoked salmon, but since moving to Maryland, I can't resist sushi with crab and crawfish.

You won't have to travel far from Broadneck to find excellent sushi options in the region.

YAMA near the Double T has a great lunch box for less than $8. Comes with miso soup, small salad, choice of 2 rolls, and some kind of shrimp ball (2) with rice. I love the shrimp tempura and eel rolls...delish for a great price. Number is on my cell phone, 410-266-8878.

Dawn and Charity: Thanks for recommending YAMA. I had the taste for sushi this evening and remembered your your comments. We went there for a carry-out since we were in a rush. Definitely going back again. It's worth the extra 10 minute drive.

I have been to Yomato once in 2009 but haven't been back since.

Before moving down here in the Broadneck area, I was used to the food scene of the Columbia(MD) and Ellicott City area and it's been tough finding great food for the price around here. Thanks again.
