Teacher of the Year To Be Announced Monday Night
Three Broadneck-area teachers are finalists for the county award.
Raven Bishop, an art teacher at Severn River Middle School; Martha Gardner, a fifth-grade teacher at Belvedere Elementary School; and Scott Rundle, a math teacher at Broadneck High School are finalists in the Teacher of the Year competition.

The best teacher in Anne Arundel County will be awarded Monday night, and the odds are good that the winner will be a Broadneck-area teacher.
Three of the five finalists are teachers in Broadneck schools.
Those teachers include Raven Bishop, an art teacher at Severn River Middle School; Martha Gardner, a fifth-grade teacher at Belvedere Elementary School; and Scott Rundle, a math teacher at Broadneck High School.
The Capital recently profiled each of the finalists and gave some interesting facts about them, including Rundle's High-Five Friday.
The winner will be announced on Patch later, so stay tuned.
