The Point Crab House & Grill Opens This Weekend

A soft opening for the restaurant is set for 4 p.m. Friday.

Whet your appetites—Broadneck's newest restaurant is set to open on Friday, if all goes well.

The Point Crab House and Grill is on the cusp of its grand opening in Ferry Point Marina. Co-owner Bobby Jones and his staff are putting the last touches on the restaurant, which aims to please homegrown Maryland appetites.

Jones said he hopes to finally open the restaurant on Friday afternoon.

"It's been very hectic," Jones said. "It's a crucial time right now (for the restaurant). We hope to open on Friday at 4 p.m., and then we'll open at our normal time on 11 a.m. on Saturday."

The menu is inspired by the kinds of food that Jones ate while growing up along the Chesapeake Bay, and the restaurant is designed with a neighborhood feel, with items priced between $10 and $30. Jones said he hopes it's the kind of place you can bring your friends for a tasty, unpretentious meal once or twice a week.
