A raucous good time was had by all at the fifth-annual St. Baldrick's Foundation event at O'Loughlin's Restaurant in Arnold on Sunday, where dozens signed up to have their heads shaved for charity.
Sponsored head-shavers raise funds for the St. Baldrick's Foundation, a volunteer-driven charity committed to funding research for childhood cancer.
Head-shaving has become the trademark fundraising technique for St. Baldrick's since the foundation began in 2000. And it's been a tradition at O'Loughlins for the past five years. Well over a hundred people have participated in the event since then, an event organizer said.
Sudo's story has become a rallying point for several people in the county for the St. Baldrick's event, and his name was heard more than a few times at the Sunday event.
In a message of thanks to customers and patrons, O'Loughlin's owner Tom Crawford said the following on Facebook:
