As a woman was leaving the post office in Arnold on Monday afternoon, she told police that another woman grabbed her purse.

According to Anne Arundel County police, officers from the eastern district responded to the 1500 block of Ritchie Highway in Arnold on Monday at about 4:23 p.m. for a reported robbery.

The victim told police that she was in the parking lot when a woman snatched her purse from her shoulder, causing her to fall down. The suspect reportedly ran to a waiting red vehicle that fled on Church Road towards Arnold Road.

Police were unable to locate the suspect, who was described as a black woman, about 5 feet 2 inches tall with a medium build and dyed red hair.

The victim did not report any injuries and police were unable to locate the suspect or the red vehicle that was at the scene.
