More About Severn River Middle School
Located in the same building with Magothy River Middle School, Severn River students come from the feeder schools of Arnold Elementary, Belvedere Elementary and Windsor Farm Elementary. The feeder high school is Broadneck High.
This school consistently performs in the top five middle schools of the entire county school system in state assessment scores.
Club offerings include robotics, newspaper, Student Government Association, National Junior Honor Society, yearbook, chess, drama, and World Languages.
Severn River's environmental program is called Stewards of the Watershed enable students to learn a variety of green friendly practices and to actually perform water quality tests.
The music program at the school, which consistently wins awards, offers band, orchestra, jazz band, and chorus. Students are also provided the opportunity to play Intermural sports during the school year like flag football, basketball and soccer.
