Self Defense for the Coming Zombie Apocolypse!
Jing Ying Institute, 1195 Baltimore Annapolis Blvd, Arnold, MD | Get Directions »
$25.00
Join us for a fun workshop that will prepare you to protect yourself, your family and friends against zombies.
Instead of trying to settle the age-old argument about whether slow zombies or fast zombies are the scariest, we will give you the tools you need to defend against both.
Use the controlled movement, mental concentration and redirection skills of tai chi with slow zombies. Use the power, agility, fluidity and footwork of northern shaolin kung fu against fast zombies.
This workshop will cover what you need to do to prepare for the coming apocalypse, how to avoid zombie encounters, and the best methods for taking out zombies while reducing your chances of becoming one yourself.
You will get good information that will help you prepare for most disaster/emergency situations and you will learn practical self-defense techniques that are effective against any attacker, not just zombies.
Physical activity will be involved so wear loose, comfortable clothing suitable for active movement such as athletic pants and a t-shirt. Bring a water bottle. (Bottled water and gatorade are available for purchase at the workshop).

More About Jing Ying Institute
Jing Ying (meaning "best of the best") Institute opened in its present location in November of 2000. Hidden away in an old industrial complex, students will be surprised at how large and well equipped it is on the inside. With 4,000 square feet and 3 separate training areas, there is plenty of room to train. An assortment of heavy bags, pads and other equipment give students plenty of training options.
Specializing in the discipline of the Northern Shaolin Kung Fu system, they offer separate classes for beginner, intermediate and advanced level students. This assures your class time is used most effectively to cover skills appropriate for your level. The well structured and progressive curriculum helps beginners of any ability or fitness level improve and advance. The regular kung fu program includes classes 6 days a week. A beginner has over 12 classes a week they can attend and students can switch freely between the classes or attend as many as you like without additional cost. As you advance, you have even more classes to chose from. With more than 2 dozen classes offered per week, you can find a program or time that fits your schedule. There are also 4 sparring classes per week for adults and 1 for children. Discounts are offered for multiple members of the same family and advanced tuition payment.
Stop by their studio to observe or ask about their introductory class. Visit their website for more details about the curriculum and class schedule.
