Academic Support Meets Fitness in SFKA Before and After School Programs
Smart Fit Kids Academy is ready to kick off its unique program with the start of the school year. For those who were unable to make it to the first open house, here is your chance to find out everything you need to know about Smart Fit Kids Academy: a second open house will take place on Saturday, August 17th! The open house will take place from 9 to 11am in the same location where our program will be held, in the Kids Fitness Room at the Arnold Big Vanilla. A healthy breakfast/lunch will be served for those who are able to attend.
Smart Fit Kids Academy is beginning before and after school programs for elementary and middle school students in Anne Arundel County. Taking place at the Big Vanilla Athletic Club in Arnold, the Smart Fit Kids Academy (SFKA) program aligns with Maryland’s Common Core standard. SFKA’s mission is to promote excellence in academics through homework assistance and fun fitness activities. Working with teachers, SFKA helps to ensure students develop valuable skills to last into high school and college. SFKA channels passions for education and health into the vibrant program to improve children’s fitness and academic skills.

Beginning at 7am, the before school program allows parents flexibility with work schedules. SFKA’s after school program ensures students complete homework, work to improve academic skills, and get essential exercise in their hectic schedules. This is done in a structured environment which allots an hour each for academics and fitness, with additional time for academic support if necessary. The after school program keeps children engaged until 6 in the evening, leaving parents time to complete their busy daily schedules.

SFKA is staffed by a passionate, caring team dedicated to your child’s academic success and health. Options for language study are also available for Chinese and Spanish.
