AACC Volleyball Team to Host 'Dig Pink' Match

With a match on Oct. 14, the team at Anne Arundel Community College hopes to raise $1,000 for breast cancer research and awareness.

The of (AACC) will host a Dig Pink match on Oct. 14 at 6 p.m. Dig Pink is a fundraising effort for breast cancer awareness supported by volleyball coaches and teams.

Proceeds from events help provide grants to medical research organizations and support to breast cancer patients and their families, according to the Dig Pink website.

Admission to the match is free, but donations will be collected at the information table. Attendees are encouraged to wear pink. In addition to the match between AACC and Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC) Catonsville, other highlights of the event include:

  • Bake sale
  • Raffle
  • Clothing for sale
  • Giveaways

The goal of the AACC team is to raise $1,000 by the end of October and donations are 100 percent tax deductible. Online donations will be accepted.
