Arnold Scouts Certify 50th Eagle Scout in Area

Richard Ensor III, of Arnold, was approved by the Troop 995 Committee on Dec. 12 for the rank of eagle.

The following was submitted by Patch reader Alan Rosner regarding a recent Boy Scout milestone in Arnold.

Last week Troop 995 of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Arnold, MD, received the certificate approving its 50th Eagle Scout from the Boy Scouts of America.

Richard Ensor III, of Arnold, was approved by the Troop 995 Committee on Dec. 12 for the rank of eagle. Rickey’s eagle project was refurbishing and installing teak park benches in Broad Creek Park behind Annapolis High School and near the football field named in his grandfather’s honor.

In 2012, the troop also conveyed the rank of Eagle Scout on David Hannon and Jacob Lettie, both of Annapolis.

The Troop, consisting of about 40 scouts, recently celebrated its 25th anniversary and is proud of the troop heritage and the accomplishments of all its scouts.
