BGE Power Outage Due to Equipment Repair

If you lost power on Tuesday night near Bay Head Road, you weren't alone.

Update (March 1, 2:10 p.m.)—A repair by Baltimore Gas and Electric (BGE) on Tuesday night left more than 2,000 residents of Broadneck without power.

Patch received word of the outage from several of our friends on Facebook, indicating it occurred between 6:30 and 9 p.m. BGE spokeswoman Rachael Lighty said it was due to an equipment repair.

"Yesterday, BGE took approximately 2,300 customers offline to isolate a piece of equipment that needed repairs. We do this so we can safely make repairs to the equipment. All customers were back in service by 9 p.m.," she said.
