Broadneck Churches Plan for Summer

Local churches have announced dates for upcoming events and their upcoming Vacation Bible Schools this summer.

The signs of the school year ending are all around us, with prom and graduation coming soon and registration for summer camps in full swing.

For families who are planning their summers now, local churches have been releasing the dates for their upcoming Vacation Bible School sessions.

St. Margaret’s Episcopal presents, "Folk Music with a Kick." At 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 8, at the church, the group Klezmer will combine the thrill of Jewish folk songs with the joy of jazz, resulting in an infectious beat made for dancing and clapping along.

St. Andrew by the Bay's Annual Shrimp Feast. The church's social committee will be hosting its Annual Shrimp Feast in the parish hall from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. Saturday, May 14.  The menu will consist of shrimp, shrimp gumbo, ham, sloppy joes, rice pilaf, potato salad, many other sides, coffee, tea and lemonade, as well as dessert. Beer and wine will be for sale. Cost is $16 in advance; $20 at the door. Entertainment will be provided by Mike and Kathy. Tickets can be purchased by calling 410-757-4486.

College Parkway Baptist Church Spring Flea Market. If you happen to be spring cleaning, take part in the CPBC Yard Sale and Flea Market on Saturday, June 4, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Contact the church office at 410-647-5594 to request a space for $7.
