Slovakia Visit Potluck Obed at Gloria Dei! Lutheran Church

In July of this year, twenty two members of Gloria Dei! will be visiting our sister congregation in Krajne, Slovakia. We will be welcomed, embraced, entertained, and just plain hosted in an extraordinarily warm way. This will be our congregation’s third mission trip to Slovakia.

Eight of their youth and their pastor will travel with us for a little over two days while we visit other parts of Slovakia. This gives the Krajne youth and our Gloria Dei! youth (and adults too) a chance to share faith, life experiences, culture and fun with each other on a very personal basis. The cost, per Krajne traveler, is approximately $200. We will be raising funds to defray their costs at a potluck luncheon.  We will be sharing previous visit stories, information about our upcoming trip, commentary about the Slovak culture, and an opportunity to break bread together.  Please plan to join us for fun and food and bring your giving heart.  No sign up is necessary.  Checks to support the Krajne travelers should be made out to Gloria Dei! with "Slovakia travelers support" in the Memo line.
