Get Out: Weekend of June 17-19

Sinatra, scouts, boats, and pets – there's lots to do in the area this weekend.

When/Where:  Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 8 p.m., Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2 p.m., June 16-July 10, at the Children's Theatre of Annapolis on Bay Head Road.

Why Go:  Infinity Theatre Company presents the Annapolis premiere of My Way, a show full of the songs, dances, and humorous stories of Frank Sinatra’s life.

When/Where:  8 a.m., Saturday, Marine Drive cul-de-sac in the Atlantis neighborhood of Broadneck.

Why Go:  Families of all ages are welcome to come out and support the troop’s efforts to raise awareness about cancer research. For more info, go to  atlantiswalkforcancer@gmail.com.

Price: Adults 18 and older are $20; children nine and older $15. Pets and kids under age eight attend for free.

3)  Antique & Classic Boat Festival

When/Where:  Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in Annapolis.

Why Go: The event features more than 100 antique and classic boats, boat building demonstrations, maritime artists and craftsmen, craft vendors, classic used boats, motors, and a nautical flea market, along with live music, food, and more.

Price:  Free for members or with museum admission.

4)  2011 Jam for the Animals

When/Where:  Saturday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. at the Anne Arundel County Fairgrounds, 1450 Generals Hwy # 178 in Crownsville.

Why Go: This is a benefit concert raising money to donate to Maryland and D.C. non-profit organizations which rescue and shelter animals. The show will feature 18 bands on two stages, pet service vendors, arts, crafts, food and drinks.

Price: $25 at the gates.

5)  “Rumple Who?” by the Bay Theatre Company 

When/Where:  Saturday at 11 a.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. on the Bay Theatre Co. stage at 275 West Street in Annapolis.

Why Go: This is a family-friendly musical adaptation of the children’s fairytale Rumpelstiltskin. This is the first production of the musical outside of New York.

Price:  $15 for adults and $12 for children.
