Photo Gallery: Bumper Bash 2011

A stepped up law enforcement effort evident at this annual event on the Magothy.

With a beefed up law enforcement presence, this year's Bumpers Bash off of Dobbins Island in the Magothy River on Saturday afternoon seemed a little more in control to local boaters and their guests.

Now in its 5th year, the annual event allows hundreds of boaters from across the area to travel to one location, line up bumper to bumper, and celebrate the summer season. Organizers were selling t-shirts, with proceeds going to the Maryland Special Olympics.

Law enforcement officers were also placed on the island itself, protecting residents from revelers who wanted to travel on land.
