Photo Gallery: Mad Science at Broadneck Library

This popular kids show had youngsters thinking about science, even in the summer!

Whether it was the air pipe band, the overflowing milkshake, or the rainbow beakers, local kids were recently entertained and reminded about the wonder of science at the .

The event, sponsored by the library’s summer reading program, was presented by Shannon Bartlette of Mad Science of Central Maryland.

During the program, students were amazed, amused, and eager to learn about scientific terms like sublimination, pH factor, and acidity.

According to the company’s website, Mad Science is “on a mission to spark the imagination and curiosity of children by providing them with fun, interactive and educational programs that instill a clear understanding of what science is really about and how it affects their world.” 

Mad Science of Central Maryland offers after-school programs, pre-school presentations and workshops, and staff members can even provide shows at birthday parties. For more information, click here.
