Veterans Day Weekend Planner: Nov 11-13

Big events in and around Broadneck this weekend

Veterans Day weekend is fast approaching. We've put together a list of five things you and your family can take part in over this weekend, from a memorial event to a play, you're sure to find something exciting.

Why Go: Honor Veterans Day thorough poetry with AACC alumnus Cliff Lynn, who has co-hosted monthly poetry readings in Annapolis since 2005 and has published more than 40 poems and stories.

When/Where: 1-5 p.m. Saturday at , 10 Davis Court, Glen Burnie

Why Go: Support the Parent Teacher Student Association and get unique items from a variety of local vendors.

When/Where: 1 p.m., Friday,

Why Go: Board games, Wii and plenty of ways to keep the kids occupied. Why not stop by and have some fun?

Cost: Free

4. Theater in Severn

When/Where: , 8080 New Cut Road AND , 109 Burns Crossing Road

Why Go: The local private schools are hosting two famous shows. ” at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday. at 7 p.m. on Friday and at 2 and 7 p.m. on Saturday.

Cost: $10 for “Romeo and Juliet.” $12 for “Diary of Anne Frank.”

When/Where: 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at , 60 Robinson Road.

Why Go: SPHS will feature "Fiddler on the Roof" as its fall musical for one weekend only.
