Rock the Boat

The State of Maryland ‘rocked’ the political trends this year and squashed a record-breaking number of anti-choice bills. Plus, Maryland went against the national grain and expanded access to family planning services. With the enactment of the Family Planning Works Act, more Maryland women will be able to access birth control, GYN care, and life-saving breast and cervical cancer screenings through the Maryland Medicaid Program.

In celebration of these milestones, Planned Parenthood of Maryland supporters are hopping aboard the MV Catherine Marie (at the Annapolis City Dock) on October 2, 2011 for an exclusive gathering with a private performance by folk musician Susan Werner.

Werner has toured the nation with acts such as Richard Thompson, Keb Mo and Joan Armatrading, and was featured in a 1998 Peter, Paul and Mary PBS television special as one of the best of the next generation of folk songwriters.
