AACC to Establish Scholarship with $25,000 Donation from Praxis Engineering

The Annapolis Junction-based firm chose to donate to Anne Arundel Community College because of its leadership role in cyber education.

Full-time students majoring in computer science, technical studies, engineering or mathematics at (AACC) may be eligible to apply for a new scholarship.

Praxis Engineering in Annapolis Junction recently donated $25,000 to establish an endowed scholarship fund at the college because of its "national reputation and leadership role in cyber education," according to a release from AACC.

“We are very excited about the tremendous work AACC is doing in the STEM arena, particularly the college’s focus on the cybersecurity field,” said Jerry Schepers, vice president, sales, marketing and business development at Praxis, in a release. “We are proud to be a small part of helping this valuable program, and the students it serves. Additionally, one of Praxis Engineering’s core values is social awareness and, as a corporation, Praxis believes it is important to give back to, and invest in, the local communities in which we work and live.”
