Arnold, Severn Developments Purchased for Nearly $20M

A national homebuilder purchased land in both Arnold and Severn that is prepped for development.

Land for a proposed Jones Station Road neighborhood was sold to a national homebuilder, along with a Severn neighborhood, for just less than $20 million.

The Baltimore Sun reported it was the largest land acquisition of unimproved land in the county this year. D.R. Horton, which owns land in 28 states, purchased the land from Koch Development, according to Annapolis-based Hogan Cos., which is representing Horton.

, which is a 130-lot development off of Jones Station Road.

Millstone Village in Severn, a 116-lot development between Reece Road and Loving Road.

Both developments include townhouses and single-family lots.

The Sun reported Horton was capitalizing on the Severn property's proximity to another development Horton owns, and Fort Meade, a growing military base.
