Senior Trip to Strawberry Festival

Arnold Senior Activity Center has announced a day trip to Peddler’s Village Strawberry Festival in Lahaska, Pa., on May 5, with trip reservations being accepted now.

Seniors can enjoy a variety of treats including strawberries dipped in chocolate, strawberry shortcake, strawberry jam, strawberry fritters, and assorted pastries. Then they can visit with area craftsmen who will exhibit and sell their wares and offer craft demonstrations. Live entertainment, a strawberry pie eating contest, and lunch at the Cock ’n’ Bull restaurant are included. Menu choices are roast pork loin or baked chicken breast.

Departure time is 7:30 a.m. from the senior center, 44 Church Road, Arnold, and return is 7 p.m. The cost is $75, with $35 due with reservation and $40 final payment due by April 13. The trip desk is open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Fridays. Call 410-222-1922 for information during trip desk hours or visit the center.
