Italian Market in Gambrills Closes

The restaurant in the Village at Waugh Chapel shut its doors without warning.

The Italian Market and Restaurant in Gambrills has closed its doors.

The restaurant in the Village at Waugh Chapel surprised many customers when it did not open earlier this week.

A sign on the door of the restaurant claims that the business is closed due to renovations. However, an employee who answered the phone at the Italian Market in Annapolis said the Gambrills restaurant is closed for good, but could re-open with a different concept.

According to two potential customers, some restaurant employees also showed up to work unaware that the restaurant had closed.

The Italian Market is located next to the former Damon's Grill, which closed in 2011. That building remains vacant.

Yes- Coal Fire is NOT good. Maybe if you like super SWEET pizza sauce and BLACK, burnt crust.... Tried it twice & didn't like our meals either time. :(

Are Italian Market gift cards sold by the Gambrills restaurant good for purchases at the Annapolis Italian Market?

Our family traveled from Virginia to eat at the Italian Market. The food was good and the staff was always friendly. So sorry to hear that it is closing!

I never liked Italian Market. It was only useful twice for big WCES Destination Imagination events and management was still not helpful!

It was not a chain. It was run by the same owner as the Annapolis location. Family owned and owner-operated. Check your facts, Kat.
