AACC Student Invited to White House During President's Speech

Marlena Clark was invited by Jill Biden to sit in the first lady's box on Thursday night.

(AACC) announced that one of the school's "star students" will be in attendance during President Obama's speech Thursday night when he will speak about his plans to create jobs and grow the economy.

Marlena Clark was reportedly invited by Jill Biden, wife of Vice President Joe Biden, to sit in the First Lady’s box during the nationally televised speech. .

Clark, currently a systems engineer, is an AACC graduate who worked two jobs while taking courses, according to a White House press release.

"We congratulate Marlena on her achievements," said Martha A. Smith, AACC president in a release. "She is one of AACC’s many inspiring examples of hard work, dedication and outstanding achievement."
