Arnold and Cape Firefighters Ignite Rivalry in Tug of War

Two local groups of firefighters will go head-to-head in a grueling match of tug-of-war at the Cape St. Claire Fourth of July festivities next month.

The Arnold Volunteer Fire Department and the Cape St. Claire Volunteer Fire Department will begin the contest at 11 a.m., following the parade down Cape St. Claire Road, ending at the main beach.

The event is part of a series of games planned for the July 4 festivities, including team events like a water balloon toss, sandcastle building, and individual events such as watermelon eating and spoon and egg races.
