A local church with a more than 150 year history will welcome its newest pastor on Sunday with an ice cream social event.
Rev. Jen Karsner will be greeted by the Asbury United Methodist Church's congregation with a light lunch and ice cream social in the fellowship hall of the church at 12:15 p.m. Sunday, following the 11 a.m. service.
Karsner will also be presented with a book on Arnold's history, written by one of its congregation members, Alberta Stornetta.
AUMC is located at 78 Church Road in Arnold.
