A funnel cloud was reported to the National Weather Service during a thunderstorm Saturday afternoon, but confirmation has yet to come.

A representative from the National Weather Service's Baltimore office said they have had reports of a funnel cloud seen near the Chesapeake Bay Bridge at about 4:40 p.m., but until an official damage estimate is done, they could not confirm or deny that a tornado had touched down in the vicinity.

A few hundred homes in the Broadneck and Annapolis areas were without power after a 20 minute thunderstorm blew through the area on Saturday afternoon.

The storm came with high winds at about 4:30 p.m., knocking tree branches into roads, and cutting power to several homes. An exact estimate is not known at this time, but according to BGE's outages report, there appear to be at least a few hundred currently without power.

If you have an outage, or have seen downed power lines, you can contact BGE at 1-877-778-2222.
