Kids Summer Reading Program Kicks off Wednesday

Kids of all ages are invited to stop by the Broadneck Branch Library Wednesday to join the kick-off party for the summer reading program.

This year's summer reading program umbrella, Dig Into Reading, begins Wednesday at 2 p.m. and will include six weeks of special activities and prizes for kids who are involved.

Kids who read five books win a prize. Read more? Kids who read six or more are entered for a chance to win a treasure chest full of loot, according to the library's website.

Some of the programs for kids this year include a return visit by magician Joe Romano, Nicolo the Jester will combine juggling and comedy, a science show and a time capsule will be dug up from 50 years ago.
