Updated: Officials Find Abandoned Car on Chesapeake Bay Bridge
A search of the waters Monday night turned up empty.
Maryland Transportation Authority (MdTA) policemen are searching for a potential jumper after they found an abandoned vehicle parked Monday night on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge.
Anne Arundel County Fire Department spokesman Capt. James Rostek said they were contacted at 6:56 p.m. to respond to the bridge, where an abandoned vehicle was found parked.
After searching for 90 minutes with boats, the fire officials turned the scene over to the MdTA police, Rostek said.

Updated 9:15 p.m. - Sgt. Kirk Perez, spokesman for the MdTA said they are continuing their investigation into the abandoned car, which he identified as a 2006 Isuzu. He could not comment on the identity of the missing owner.
Eastbound traffic on the Bay Bridge was closed between 6:45 and 7 p.m. while the scene was cleared. A search of the waters continues.
