1. New Hair Color Studio Takes Root In Bay Hills

Looking for the perfect color for you? There's a new stylist in town. AE Hair Color Studio opened this week in the Bay Hills Shopping Center. Ann Ellis, the owner of the studio, said she has been a hair colorist in the Annapolis area for nine years. A resident of Arnold, she saw an opportunity to provide her services locally, and jumped at the chance.

2. Car Fire Starts Inside BMW Building

Anne Arundel County firefighters responded early the morning of March 4 to a report of a car fire at the BMW Annapolis building, located at 31 Old Mill Bottom Rd. When firefighters arrived at 5:30 a.m. March 4,  they found a car fire inside the service bay area of the building. Twelve other vehicles were also being stored in the shop area, according to a fire department release.

3. Watch Heads Being Shaved for Charity at O'Loughlin's

A raucous good time was had by all at the fifth-annual St. Baldrick's Foundation event atO'Loughlin's Restaurant in Arnold on Sunday, where dozens signed up to have their heads shaved for charity.

Sponsored head-shavers raise funds for the St. Baldrick's Foundation, a volunteer-driven charity committed to funding research for childhood cancer.

4. Bay Bridge Re-Opened to Traffic After 6-Hour Delay

The Chesapeake Bay Bridge re-opened Wednesday evening after high winds forced officials to close spans in both directions earlier in the day. The Maryland The bridge was shut down to all traffic shortly before 2:30 p.m. Wednesday. Earlier, the westbound span was closed after a tractor trailer overturned, according to the Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) website.
